The tour basic parts that
the program is divided into are:
- Manager: a tool for organising the
files that are handled in WEST.
- Model Editor: this makes it possible
to modify the mathematical models used or to add new
ones. MSL (Model Specification Language) is the programming
language used to develop it.
- Configuration Environment: this
is a graphics tool to construct complex models created
from the combination of models from simpler systems.
Once the configuration is created and compiled in this
application it is ready to be executed experimentally.
- Experimentation Environment: this
is the tool for the definition and execution of the
simulations. The plant configuration created in the
configuration section is simulated on this application
under different operating conditions that are selected
by the user.
